Bio

Elizabeth Bjorling Poest has been a youth ministry for 18 years:

• Pastored Children and Youth at a medium sized suburban university congregation.
• Over a decade pastoring Jr. Highers and Preteens and their families at a large multi site church near a Christian University.
• Currently pastors youth and adults community life at a smaller urban church in Chicago.

Elizabeth also teaches Youth and Christian Ministry courses at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Deerfield, IL where she earned a PhD in Christian Education.

Elizabeth is co-writing a book on navigating relationships in your twenties which will be coming out Spring of 2020 from Cascade Publishers!

Elizabeth is an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene.  She helped design and write Wired and Collide Preteen Curriculums for Foundry Publishing. She has also served as a district NYI president.

Elizabeth is a regular speaker at churches, camps, revivals, and conferences to teens and adult leaders alike.

In her spare time Elizabeth loves adventures with her husband Christopher, making up silly songs, laughing until her sides hurt with family and friends over her signature dessert- flaming peaches, or drinking great coffee while catching up with her favorite students and interns now scattered around the globe.
