Sermon- Wii Are Family: Created for Story

This Sermon was preached during our Sunday Morning Family Worship Series: “Wii are Family”.  “Created for Story was preached in both North Campus Adult morning services July 15, 2012.  This was the second week of Family worship with all of our kids attending “big church”.  Between the two services 1200 were in attendance.

The message was based on Psalm 78 and Acts 16, where the Jailers family stayed up celebrating and feasting rather than sleeping and weeping.  Each family is living out a story!

Wed night – Sharing the salvation message.

During Spring 2012 series “A Diary of a WImpy Follower: Pete the Repeat”, we helped 125 5-8 graders and leaders focus on some of the mistakes that repeat over and over again, and how Peter disciple did something very similar.  As we neared Easter, I communicated that Jesus died for those sins.  Then, Peter was used mightily by God, even after his mistakes.  We just have to invite Jesus into our hearts.

Based on Peter’s many stories primarily in Mark and John.
